Rubber Selection Strategies

 

Please refer to the rubber selection chart below to find the rubber for your particular playing style. You are encouraged to read all the corresponding rubber description of on the rubbers page.

   
Defensive play - modern, to provoke faults.
Allround play - a pick hitter with main emphasis on control and security. Usually the backhand rubber has passive play characteristics.
Allround play - offensive topspin play near the table with minimal risk.
Offensive play - precise and controlled, taking a risk by topspin variations not by speed.
Offensive play - preferable from short to mid distances. Topspin loop drive/smash attacks from both sides.
Mid distance Offensive play - prepared to take a risk with Spin and loop drives.
